Mahindra Group, the multinational conglomerate company, has launched a car repairs and servicing aggregator service in Mumbai called Carworkz. The said aggregator is an intelligent mobile and web-based application that collects data regarding Authorized Service Centers (ASC ), Multi-Brands Chains (MBC) and Independent Garages (IG). The company plans to engage over 1 lakh customers on the platform in hand with 4,500 workshops.

Tarun Gupta, CEO, Carworkz commented on the launch as under:

Carworkz is designed to offer complete peace of mind to a car owner looking for a reliable servicing option. The app aggregates information on all kinds of workshops -from authorized service centers, multi-brand chains and independent garages.

During the beta phase for the online service, Mahindra has signed up 1,000 workshops and 5,000 registered users for successful testing. Moreover, revenues generated from stake sale of Rs. 250 crore by Mahindra Group’s used car division will also be channelized in the all new services platform. Repair services will be extend beyond Mumbai in coming weeks to five more metro cities.

Using CarWorkz, the customer cannot only look up nearby local service centers but also book car servicing online. One can also buy spare parts, car accessories along with renewing maintenance contracts and ask for on road assistance. The workshops listed on the platform will also provide authentication regarding services delivered to their customers. A user can also judge the workshop by supplemented ratings and review feature built in the platform and can also give their feedback.

With the vast potential in the after-sales service market, Mahindra’s step will further up its confidence among the customers. According to reports a growth of Rs 40,000 crore is expected by 2020. To boost up its efforts, Mahindra will also launch a ‘Carworkz Assurance Program’ to assure quality of the services booked and offered through the platform.
