Lenovo has today launched its new budget smartphone — Lenovo P2 in the Indian market. The smartphone comes in two variants, with its price starting at Rs. 16,999. It will be exclusively available via Flipkart from tonight. The phone was first showcased at IFA 2016.

The smartphone comes with a 5.5-inch Super AMOLED Full HD display. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor, clocked at 2 GHz, along with either 3GB of RAM or 4GB of RAM. In terms of internal storage, it has 32GB, but can be further expanded up to 128GB using a microSD card.

The Lenovo P2 features a 13-megapixel rear camera with a Sony IMX258 sensor and a 5-megapixel front camera. The front home button in P2 doubles up as a fingerprint scanner. On the software front, the smartphone runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system.

The phone has its battery as the USP, powered by a huge 5100mAh battery pack, which also supports on-to-go charging. The device can also be used as a powerbank to charge other smartphones. The smartphone also supports fast-charging capabilities. Connectivity options on the smartphone include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v4.1, and FM radio. The phone measures 153 mm x 76 mm x 8.2 mm.

The 3GB RAM variant of the Lenovo P2 is priced at Rs. 16,999, while the 4GB RAM model is priced at Rs. 17,999. These will be available in Champagne Gold and Graphite Grey color variants. As a launch day offer, Flipkart is giving customers an exchange offer of up to Rs. 2,000 when swapping an old working smartphone, and 10 percent discount for SBI credit cardholders.
