TENNA, Chinese telecommunication authority certifies yet another phone for ASUS. Called X00GD, it was identified on the TENNA website after Asus Z01HDA got certified. The model listed seems to have 4,850mAh battery along with latest Android 7.0 Nougat. The smartphone is predicted to be a part of Asus’s ZenFone lineup — probably ZenFone 4 Max.
The phone will be powered by an octa-core 1.5GHz processor having variable RAM options of 2GB, 3GB and 4GB. The phone will be featuring 5.2-inch HD display with 16GB/ 32GB/ 64GB storage options. The weight of phone is estimated at 169g with a thickness of 8.85mm. The phone will be equipped with a 13MP rear camera along side a 8MP front camera. Further, the device is said to be embedded with a fingerprint sensor within the home button.
Reportedly, the phone will be available in three color variants — Luxury Gold, Rose Gold and Black. The image spotted on the website presents a Rose Gold variant with curved corners sporting a candybar design. Much expectations are attached with the device as it presents us with a massive 4,850mAh battery, though no information has been out relating to the phone’s pricing and availability. It is expected that the company will offer competitive price for the said phone, viewing its ZenFone 3 Series lack of sales due to high prices. ASUS is expected to reveal some info on the same at CES 2017. The company might also reveal its premium Chromebook, C302CA, featuring a 12.5-inch, 1080p screen powered by Intel’s Core M3 processor at the show.
Recently, the company brought ZenWatch 3 to Indian markets priced at Rs. 17,599. The sales for the same has been initiated through e-commerce platform, Flipkart. Though no official announcements have been made by ASUS for CES 2017, we’ll keep you updated what to expect from the variety of product launches at the trade show.
