Asus has today silently launched its ZenWatch 3 in the Indian market. The smartwatch, priced at Rs. 17,599, will be available exclusively on Flipkart. You can pre-order it from December 23 on the e-commerce portal.
The ZenWatch 3 was originally unveiled at IFA 2016 in Berlin and. It is slimmer than its predecessor and features a circular display. In India, it will be available in two options. The rubber strap variant is priced at Rs. 17,599 while the leather strap variant is priced at Rs. 18,999. Both models will be available in two colours — dark brown or beige.
It features a 1.39-inch AMOLED display offering a 400×400 pixels resolution and a 287ppi pixel density. Further, the display is protected by Gorilla Glass. While more than fifty watch faces are available, users also have a way to create their own watch faces with the FaceDesigner app.
It’s powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 2100, which is claimed to be faster and more energy efficient. The device packs a 340 mAh battery with quick-charge. It also features HyperCharge technology which as per Asus’ claims, allows the battery to be charged to 60 percent in just fifteen minutes.
Running on Android Wear, it is compatible with both Android and iOS devices. The casing of the watch comes with a jewellery grade stainless steel finish. The device is also a full-featured activity tracker and the all-new ZenFit app automatically counts steps throughout the day with reminders to move after periods of inactivity.
The ZenFit app also tracks a range of activities, including walking, running, push-ups, sit-ups — and it works together with the companion smartphone app to provide helpful and easy-to-understand summaries and graphs for a complete picture of physical activity.
