If you’re fellow PC gamer, you know all too well who and what ASUS is and what their products are capable of. If by any chance, you’re unaware of ASUS’ technical spectacle equivalent products, then here’s a little intro for you.
ASUS is one of the coveted Fortune magazine’s World’s Most Admired technical companies, and is completely dedicated to creating and delivering peak performance based products. Some of their works include the Zenbo, ZenFone, ZenBook and a wide range of IT peripherals, devices and components, along with AR, VR and IoT.
This year has been exceptionally nice to the ASUS team. As ASUS announced, they are the leading vendors in the expansive gaming monitor market right as part of an official statement. To be specific, the company leads the market share in 2016 with a massive 35% share followed by its competitors.
In an interview with DigiTimes, Mr. Vincent Chiou, Associate President of Asustek Computer Monitor Business Unit said,
Gaming monitors shipments are expected to increase 100% in 2017. ASUS enjoy a healthy year on year growth globally including its top three vendors, Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA).
Specifically talking about the Asia Pacific region, the numbers for gaming monitors with a refresh rate of 144 Hz and above grew 119% from last year to this year. In South Asia, gaming monitors increased by a staggering 51%. ASUS’s flagship gaming brand, ROG’s (more commonly known as ‘Republic of Gamers’) monitors saw an increase of 105%.
As for ESL’s pioneer e-sports event which takes place annually in India, ASUS gaming monitors were used throughout the course of the event.
Mr. Chiou has expressed opinions that the gaming monitors in the market in 2017 will have new features larger size, much higher-resolution, the trendy curve panel, and an increased refresh rate that will help increase the gaming monitor demand in 2017.
All in all, sounds like a great year just passed for ASUS and the coming year looks even brighter.
