The year would be ending with no new Windows 10 Insider preview builds for Fast ring users in 2016. The members of the Windows Insider program have long been waiting for the builds which were anticipated this week but the same is being delayed due to the integration of UUP into the operating system.

Insider chief Dona Sarkar made it quite clear via a tweet which stated ‘no more builds this week. We don’t love the current options & don’t want to leave you in a bad state during the holidays.’ she further tweeted, ‘And this also means no more builds for 2016. We will release ISO for the Slow ring build next week.’

Windows had released build 14986 for Fast ring insiders in early December which has been launched for Slow Ring Insiders just yesterday. The new build enabled voice commands for volume control alongside Cortana. Chinese support was also been added for Cortana with a new sign in option using Azure Active Directory (AAD) identity. Other than these additional features have been added to Narrator and major improvements and fixes which can be read on official blog.

Though Windows are not bringing any new builds this year, the good news is new ISO for the Slow ring build would be released next week. The reason for delay is due to beginning of holiday season as well as Asian ad blocker concerns. Moreover, Microsoft has been busy with Creators update for a while.

The expected Creators Update 2017 includes MyPeople, Windows Holohraphic, game streaming on Windows 10 etc. It is also anticipated that Microsoft would be releasing Windows 10 Redstone 3 builds by mid 2017.

However Microsoft has rolled out newest OS version 10.0.14393.2152  for Xbox One just today. By updating your Xbox One, you’ll now be able to download new titles at a speed up to 80 percent faster now though you must have a connection faster than 100 Mbps . For those you having a connection less than 100 Mps , download speed has been improved by 40%. This is though a pleasant suprise from Microsoft for remaining 2016 to enjoy!
