MoEngage, an user engagement platform has today announced that it has raised an undisclosed amount of funding led by Anand Chandrasekaran, Head of Platform & Product Partnerships for Messenger at Facebook. The mobile growth platform currently analyses 15 billion+ events and plans to further revolutionize digital marketing.

Commenting on the investment, Anand Chandrasekaran says,

MoEngage shows immense potential for growth, and has consistently proven itself to be a pioneering user engagement platform. I am also delighted to join the advisory board at a time when MoEngage has launched a path-breaking product like Sherpa, which gathers real-time insights from user actions across apps & websites, and automates the marketing communication with predictive analytics, reducing manual intervention from marketers.

MoEngage would be channelizing the investment towards enhancing its entrepreneurial ecosystem assisted by Anand’s product building expertise and excellent dynamic market approach.

Previously, MoEngage had grabbed a $4.2 million led by Helion Venture Partners, with participation of Exfinity Ventures and a few angel investors – Kunal Bahl & Rohit Bansal, founders of Snapdeal and Raghunandan, founder of TaxiForSure. The funding was utilized towards expansion of mobile marketing platform.

Speaking about the investor, Anand Chandrasekaran will now be a member of MoEngage’s advisory panel and has over 30 investments across sectors such as consumer internet, marketplaces, fintech, SaaS, and hardware.  An M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University, Anand was previously part of Snapdeal and Bharti Airtel as a Chief Product Officer.  Moreover,  in 2016, he has been featured in Fortune on the ’40 under 40′ list of influential business leaders.

With Anand being on board with MoEngage, it would increase its global reach which currently includes Airtel, Times Internet, Interactive One, Snapdeal, GrowthHackers and Matahari Mall.
