Recently smartphone launches in the Indian market have been focusing more on the camera. Sony of course, has always been known for the emphasis it lays on the quality of its snappers. The company has launched a brand new flagship smartphone in India — Xperia XZ, which also packs a really great camera.

The Xperia XZ comes with a 5.2-inch full HD display, with a layer of Gorilla Glass 4 on top for added protection. Under the hood, it is powered by a 2.15GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, along with 3GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage.

The premium camera focused smartphone comes with two powerful 23 MP camera at back with triple image sensing technology. As per Sony’s claims, this new camera setup captures images with three times the precision. Along with this, the phone also has a 13 MP front facing camera for the selfie lovers.

Interestingly, the triple image sensing technology comprises of three technologies — image sensor, laser autofocus sensor and RGBC-IR sensor. Image sensor includes Exmor RS, which provides a powerful blend of high quality image and autofocus (AF) speed combined with Predictive Hybrid AF. The latter helps the system intelligently predict and track subjects in motion for blur-free results.

Added to this is the Laser AF sensor with distance sensing technology, which enables you to capture beautiful blur-free photos in challenging low light conditions. The RGBC-IR sensor with color sensing technology accurately adjusts the white balance based on the light source in the environment, letting you enjoy superb, true to life colors.

Connectivity options on this dual SIM smartphone include 4G, VoLTE, ViLTE, VoWiFi,Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth and NFC. Running on Android Marshmallow OS, the phone is powered by a 2900mAh battery. The company has promised that latest Android version — Android Nougat will also be rolled out soon.

The device also features a fingerprint scanner on the home button. Furthermore, the device is water resistant, with ratings of  IP65/68. The smartphone also supports Quick Charge 3.0 technology.

Sony Xperia XZ is priced at Rs. 51,990 and will be available at a slightly discounted best buy of Rs. 49,990. Currently, the phone can be pre-booked at Sony Centers across the nation, along with at different retail stores. However, the phone will be available for order online, exclusively through Amazon.in.

As for the introductory offers, the company is offering SmartBand Talk SWR30, worth Rs. 8,990, free of cost to the customers who pre-book the smartphone before 10th of October.
