Just over a week ago, Apple officially launched iOS 10 as a public release. Today, the company is bringing in the first official update to its latest mobile operating system in the form of iOS 10.0.2. The update comes two days after Apple started seeding the iOS 10.1 beta release and brings in many bug fixes and performance enhancements.
As most Apple fans already know, iOS 10 comes with a bundle of amazing new features including cool UI revamps. With iOS 10, we got a redesigned Lock screen experience, a revamped Messages app with a full App Store, a Siri SDK for developers, new looks and features for Maps and Apple Music and a whole lot more. But just like every other software, 10 also had its own bugs that most users picked up fairly quickly.
Today’s update addresses a major issue that prevented the Lightning Earpods to work properly. Many users complained that EarPods had been timing out after a short period of time when they were listening to music. Users stated that they were unable to unable to control volume, access Siri, and answer phone calls. With 10.0.2, Apple says that the bug lives no more.
Next up, the new update gets rid of another flaw in the OS that caused Photos to quit for some users when activating iCloud Photo Library. It also fixes an issue that prevented enabling some app extensions.
The update has already started rolling out over-the-air and if you haven’t already gotten your hands on it, don’t worry, you’ll get it soon.
