Filipino Boxing champion and recently elected Senator Manny Pacquiao purchased stakes in the mobile gaming startup GToken. The boxer reportedly sealed the deal in his hometown General Santos City in Southern Philippines over the weekend for an unrevealed amount.
Valued at $60 Million, the crowdsourced mobile publisher and advertising platform claims to have over a million users across South East Asia, Taiwan and China. The company aims to build the fastest growing crowdsourcing community, driving traffic and revenue through Empowerment.
Since our launch in Singapore in December 2014, GToken has garnered strong partnerships and support from the booming mobile gaming community across the region.
Kenneth Mark Yong, CEO of Token was quoted as saying.
The 37- year old world champion in eight different weight divisions was ranked as the second highest paid celebrity by Forbes in 2015. He said,

I’m confident that GToken has that special fighting spirit to be one of the strongest global players in the mobile gaming and advertising space and I’m proud to be part of the team.
Ivan Lee, Founder of Raging Bull, a tech focused private investment fund, is among the GToken’s seed founders. His previous Food and Beverage company was sold for $73 million.
