With an intent to build a strong and vibrant startup ecosystem in Tier 2 cities especially like Chandigarh, The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE) Chandigarh chapter is organizing the first ever TiECON Chandigarh on February 19.

TIECON would feature a full day conference, STPI award show, business networking, startup pitch & more. Atleast 40 top notch founders & CEO will be speaking at the TiECON which luminaries like Dr Omkar Rai (STPI), Mohan Das Pai (Manipal Global), Ravi Gururaj (Qikpod), Sanjeev Bikhchandani (Info Edge), Krishnan Ganesh (Portea Medical), Mahesh Murthy (Seedfund), Andrey Terebenin (Sistema Asia Fund), Shanti Mohan (Lets Venture), Raman Roy (Quattro), Sharad Sharma (Ispirit), Suneet Singh Tuli (Datawind Technologies), Samar Singla (Jugnoo) and many more.

TIECON is where the world’s wealth connects with technology stealth to create an energizing environment for start-ups to take off. It brings together diverse, dynamic, and expert ecosystem to ignite and display technology innovation.

TiECON Chandigarh attendees will include intellectuals from across the nation & abroad bringing together a complete ecosystem for accelerating the full cycle of a company’s development from funding to launch, growth and success. Attendees span the spectrum from start-up entrepreneurs, financial market experts to government policy makers and eminent personalities from academia and media.

Founded in 1992 in Silicon Valley, TiE currently has over 13,000 members across 18 countries. Worldwide, all chapters of TiE are driven by the common mission of fostering entrepreneurship through mentoring, networking, incubating and funding promising startups and ideas.

TiE Chandigarh is launching the first edition of TIECON Chandigarh to celebrate the spirit of Entrepreneurship in the region. The conference shall deliberate on making tier 2 cities the new startup hubs. The event will also celebrate & recognize the entrepreneurial and innovative efforts of the ICT achievers of our Chandigarh Tricity region in the evening at TiECON through STPI awards for which nominations have already been invited. Over 500 delegates comprising CXOs, entrepreneurs, investors, thought leaders and policy makers are expected to attend the TiECON.

This one day event – TiECON Chandigarh, with an exceptional agenda of keynote speeches, presentations and panel discussions, will motivate and inspire not only the youth but also the budding and existing entrepreneurs participating from all across the nation and the event is taking place at Hotel The Lalit, IT Park, Chandigarh.

Now that Mohali will also have a massive incubation space for start-ups, Additional Director and Centre Head, STPI, Mohali, Ajay P Shrivastava is excited about TiECON Chandigarh.

TiECON is usually limited to metros but it will for the first time come to a tier-2 city, which is a huge step towards creating a healthy environment for entrepreneurs for such events provide a platform to share ideas, experiences, network and connect. Also, just like Gurgaon and Noida took advantage of TiECONDelhi, here, Mohali and Panchkula will be benefitted by it as it will open up multiple opportunities and extensions to businesses.
