Heads up, gamers! Amazon Studios is planning to jump on the PC gaming bandwagon, and is working on an ‘ambitious new PC game project using the latest technology,” according to a job vacancy filed on Gamesutra.

The Big daddy of Internet retail has disclosed little details, but we could guess that Amazon will incorporate live streaming in a major way, considering that they acquired Twitch early last year.

The company is currently looking to fill the following vacancies: Senior Game Engineer, Lead Visual Effects Artist, Senior Graphics , Platform Engineer, Sr. Tools Engineer, Senior Game Economy Designer, Lead Technical Artist and other development positions.

“We believe that games have just scratched the surface in their power to unite players,” the job listing reads, “and will produce some of the future’s most influential voices in media and art.”

According to the report, those hired would work along side the likes insanely popluar title developers such as BioShock, Dota 2, Half Life 2, Halo, Infamous, Left for Dead, Portal, Shadow of Mordor, The Last of Us and World of Warcraft.

The Seattle-based studio has been around for just over a year now, working mostly on publishing mobile games and stuff for Amazon’s Fire TV. I’m hoping it won’t be exclusive to Amazon-branded PCs. I mean, that’s what they did with ‘Til Morning’s Light’ on Android.

People might ask what kind of a technology company Amazon is, but developing PC games is  very much a logical step for Amazon to follow. After all, they’ve developing mobile games for some time now. Also, one shouldn’t forget AWS, which thousands of businesses rely upon, hosts games of the Elite Dangerous fame. Amazon, with it’s moolah, could definitely do justice to the talent involved here.
