The Samsung Galaxy S6 was a marvelous device. One could call it Samsung’s redemption into the smartphone competition. But it has been Samsung’s tradition to release multiple smartphones built over the chassis of its flagship phone and probably de-value the brand a bit.
Just a few days ago Samsung revealed/leaked all we needed to know about the S6 Active, the latest to come out in the S6 series. The only thing left to be known is its release date and price range.
But there’s development even in the leaks. A recent teaser video tweet by AT&T, the US carrier which will sell the smartphone in the country, has made fans even more excited. We used to get excited when we saw movie trailers or teasers and now smartphone vendors are using this strategy to get the desired hype from their followers.

The expected specs of this fresh S6 iteration are as given below:
- 5.1-inch, 2560 x 1440 QHD resolution Super AMOLED display
- Octa-core Exynos 7420 chipset (with cored clocked at 2.1GHz and 1.5GHz)
- And the all important water, dust and shock resistance.
This phone is for the adventurers and outdoor lovers among us and it will not disappoint you in the least when it comes to performance. Only time will tell how rugged the smartphone will be.
