After literally months of planning from our end, we are more than over-joyous to present before you, The Tech Portal Pitch Off, a first-of-its-kind event in India where we give early-stage startups, the opportunity to pitch their ideas directly in front of angel investors, mentors and the entire local startup community. But there’s a catch !
While we give you the opportunity to pitch in front of investors, we want you to do so in 60 SECONDS. Yes, 60 seconds is all you have to convince the investors sitting there, followed by a 2-3 minute Q&A round. And while most of you may have started guessing as to how is it even remotely possible to pitch an idea in 60 seconds, we’ll make sure you are able to do that.
Let us tell you the entire concept.
We are starting to accept applications for the event from today itself, you can apply for the same by filling up this form, keeping in mind you adhere to these guidelines. Once you are done with the formalities, you need to wait for half-an-hour or so for a confirmation mail/call from our end. We’ll review your application, and check it for any discrepancies.
We’ll be closing the applications on March 20th, post which, all the received applications will be sent to our review board, comprising of some prominent names in India’s startup community, like Mahavir Pratap Sharma (ex-TiE Global Trustee), prominent incubators from Bangalore like Excubator and others.
Upon review, our panel will short-list 10 startups, based upon various parameters. And that is exacly when things get interesting.
Those 10 startups will get a chance, to pitch their ideas in front of an audience comprising specifically of investors, looking to fund early-age ideas. It will also comprise of execs from established startups like Flipkart, Zostel, CarDekho etc. At last, the audience will also have the local startup community, packing up the CMRIT Auditorium (special thanks to our venue partners).
And to help you out to present the best of your idea in 60 SECONDS, the finalists will be given a 15 minute personal mentoring session, with investors/VCs/mentors, who will guide them as to how they need to present.

- 5:30 P.M. : Doors Open
