Samsung’s Mega series further expanded in India, with the launch of its third member, the Galaxy Mega 2. The 6-inch phablet is priced at a reasonable ₹ 20,990. Samsung’s Mega 6.3 and Mega 5.8 though not an instant hit in the Indian market, did manage to sell off in good numbers.
The newest Mega phone has a 6 inch 720p resolution screen and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat). The phone is powered by a 1.2 Ghz quad-core processor, though, to our utter surprise, Samsung has not revealed the manufacturer of this processor.
Samsung Galaxy Mega 2 comes with a 1.5GB RAM and as always, we simply fail to understand Samsung’s logic behind an addition of 512 Megabytes of RAM to a 1 GB card. Why can’t Samsung simply put a much better performing, 2 GB RAM card, and get done with it ?
Towards the back, Galaxy Mega 2 sports an 8MP snapper, while a 5MP camera is positioned in the front. As for Connectivity, the phablet consists of 2G, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and microUSB 2.0. The device is powered by a 2,800mAh battery.
