This is because, Xiaomi’s Redmi 1S, as listed on its Singapore site, is priced at S$ 169. This, equals to almost Rs. 8000 in Indian currency.
Moreover, the kind of hardware with which Redmi 1S comes, are actually dream specifications, in this sort of price range. Hence, Xiaomi may be creating a buzz for the upcoming sale of Redmi 1S.
As for the specifications, in just Rs. 8000, you get a quad core 1.7 Ghz Snapdragon 400 chip-set, powered by an equally powerful Adreno 305 GPU. Also, the phone features 4.7 inch, full HD IPS display. The phone comes with 8 GB of in-built memory.
