Micromax becomes the first ever Indian company to launch WP powered smartphones. It launched the Canvas Win series powered by Windows 8.1 OS today.
Making an entry into the world of Windows Phone which is currently ruled by Nokia’s (now Microsoft Devices) Lumia range, Micromax sets another benchmark. This has been possible because of the fact that Microsoft made WP free for all devices below 9 inches earlier this year. And Micromax happens to be the first one to grab the opportunity.
The company launched 2 smartphones as part of its Win series: Canvas Win W121 and Canvas Win W092.

WIN121 has 8MP AF rear, 2MP FF front camera and WIN092 has 5for rear and 0.3 for front
1 GB RAM and 8 GB internal memory, expendable up to 32 GB
Microsoft has preloaded the Canvas Win devices with their products and services like Bing, Skype, Xbox games, Office 365 and OneDrive. The Canvas Win W121 and Canvas Win 092 are priced at Rs. 9500 and Rs. 6500 respectively and will be available next month onwards.
