Amazon’s The Grand Tour has seen an immense  popularity among the masses since its very first episode being aired on Amazon Prime on Nov,18th. The show not only gained viewership from Amazon Prime subscribers but also became an instant hit among the pirates. According to Muso, a global company which screens pirating activities, The Grand Tour is now the most illegally downloaded program ever.

The same was published by The Daily Mail on Sunday which reported the following figures- “The Holy Trinity”, the first episode for the show was ripped 9.7 million times.  Episode two “Operation Desert Stumble” and  episode three “Opera, Art and Donuts” were pirated  6.4 million times and  4.6 million times respectively. The figures for the fourth episode, “Enviro-mental”  has not been yet disclosed. Muso chief commercial officer, Chris Elkins stated upon the mater,

It is off the scale in terms of volume… It has overtaken every big show, including ‘Game Of Thrones.’

The Grand Tour brought the infamous Top Gear trio — Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May back to your television screens. A new episode is released every Friday, broadcasting travelling experiences and grand setups with live audiences. The subscription costs £79 a year in British pounds and $99 in the U.S.

Muso also declared Britain as the most illicitly pirating region having a share of 13.7 percent. Moreover, revenue losses in U.K. alone amount for around 3.2 million pounds for the first episode. The loss for other episodes being pirated is yet to be estimated.

Though the TV Show has been declared as most pirated show, Amazon says that its user base swelled by a whopping 19 million. This includes 2 millions viewers from the U.K. alone, adding up to a total of 63 million viewers. It commented,

Grand Tour has become the biggest show premiere ever on Amazon Prime Video, breaking records around the world.
