Ever since the commercial birth of the gaming industry, in the early 1950s, we have seen gaming as one of the most profitable entertainment industry in the world.

As in recent years, the boom in mobile technology has revolutionized the industry and now the doors are open for the new generations of gamers. Least did you know but the gaming has become so popular in recent years, that these days even your grandma will be aware of what the Angry Bird is.

Talking about some facts, more than 42% of Americans are gamers. And four out of five U.S. households are owning a gaming console these days.

How It All Started: The Early Years

It all started with the first recognized game by Dr. Edward Uhler Condon at the New York World’s fair in 1940. Have you ever heard of the ancient mathematical game Nim? Well, this game was based in this game itself.

The game was played by more than 50,000 people for six months it was on display.
However, after that, the first gaming system designed for commercial homes didn’t emerge until the next 20 years.

The Ralph Baer with his team released his prototype the “Brown Box” in 1967.

It was basically the vacuum tube circuit that could be easily connected to the television set allowing two different users to control the cubes that allows you to chase each other over the screen. No wonder it was a very entertaining game of that time.

Not only that, but it could also be modified for playing many more games like ping pong, checkers, and four sports games. Because they were using quite advance technology of that time, they were also able to add some accessories including the light gun for shooting games and a lot more.

Later in 1972, the Brown Box was licensed to the Magnavox. Therefore, this system was released as the Magnavox Odyssey in 1972. Least did you know that in 1975, the Magnavox was discontinued but between 1972 and 1975, nearly 300,000 pieces of the Brown Box were sold.

Multiplayer Gaming

The starting of real multiplayer gaming was in the late 1970s when a number of chain restaurants around the United States started to install video games in their restaurant to capitalize on the hot new craze.

The nature of those games was the competition among the players. Hence leading to multiplayer gaming. But according to me, the real multiplayer gaming was evolution was with the concept of “World Of Warcraft or wow boosting servicewow boosting service”.

It is one of the most amazing multiplayer role play game. Which makes it one of the most amazing concept to play the game. Hence I am addressing this game as the real evolution of multiplayer gaming because it is the type of game most popular these days. So when we switch to the game that everyone in today’s modern generation loves is what the real evolution is all about.

After that many other multiplayer games came into existence but the World Of Warcraft is still played from the day it launched in 2004. Yet it has a huge user base playing this game daily.

Conclusion

The gaming industry is one of the most profitable entertainment industry and there is a reason behind it. That is directly getting to the user’s head. So no matter which game you are playing, it will surely entertain you and give you a pleasure to play it as well.
That’s all from our side about The evolution of the gaming industry. No doubt the gaming industry grew at a great pace earlier and it has no intention to stop now as well.
