Popular video game company Ubisoft is working to create animated shows based on its popular games, and the latest in the list are ‘Watch Dogs’ and a franchise around ‘Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon.’
The Watch Dogs series will be a sophisticated take on its popular game around hackers. The series is reportedly aimed towards teenagers. Its still not certain in which city the show will be based at.
Ubisoft’s other fascinating project is ‘Blood Dragon’ based ‘Captain Laserhawk: A Blood Dragon Vibe.’ The project will be headed by ‘Castlevania’ fame producer Adi Shankar. The company has not revealed much about ‘Watch Dogs’ but the aesthetics of the project art have confirmed the flick to remain authentic to the game.
Helene Juguet, managing director for film and television at Ubisoft said;
Adi is such a great fan of video games. We share the same culture and references. It’s been great to give him the freedom to do something very fresh and bold with our characters.
Ubisoft has some other projects in buildout as well. They are planning to bring out Mars-set Rabbids Invasion special, which will come after the fourth season of Rabbids Invasion show. They have also planned for an animated sketch comedy which will focus on video game culture. As per Reporter, they are also working on an adventure comedy flick “inspired by the popular Rayman franchise and Hungry Shark Squad, based on the mobile game Hungry Shark”.
The network to broadcast these shows is yet to be revealed along with the time by which they will hit the screens.
