Honor, a sub-brand of Huawei, has today launched Honor 8X smartphone in the Indian market, which is the successor of the Honor 7X. The phone was originally launched in China last month.
In India, the Honor 8X is priced at Rs. 14,999 for the 4GB RAM model while the 6GB RAM model with 64GB storage and 128GB storage is priced at Rs. 16,999 and Rs. 18,999 respectively. It will be available in Black and Blue color from 24th October, exclusively via Amazon.
The phone features a 6.5-inch Full HD+ notched display and is powered by HiSilicon Kirin 710 octa-core processor. It comes with Android 8.1 Oreo OS pre-installed with EMUI 8.2 custom UI on top.
It comes with a dual camera sensor on the back, featuring a 20-megapixel primary sensor and a 2-megapixel secondary sensor along with an LED flash and AI-based features. There’s a 16-megapixel front-facing snapper with AI beautify features.
Connectivity options on the device include Dual SIM, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz / 5GHz), Bluetooth 5, and GPS + GLONASS. There’s a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor for added security features. The phone is powered by a 3,750mAh battery, which should be enough to provide power from an entire day on a single charge.
At this price tag, the Honor 8X will compete against the likes of Nokia 6.1 Plus, Xiaomi‘s Redmi Note 5 Pro and Mi A2 Android One phone, among others.
