Along with the Realme 2 Pro, the company also launched a new entry-level smartphone in India, dubbed as Realme C1. It comes in two color options – Deep Black and Ocean Blue.
The phone is priced at ₹6,999, which the company says is introductory pricing for the Diwali festival. It’ll be available for purchase exclusively via Flipkart from October 11.
The Realme C1 features a 6.2-inch notched HD+ display with a screen resolution of 1520 x 720 pixels, 19:9 aspect ratio, and 88.8% screen-to-body ratio. It is powered by Snapdragon 450 octa-core processor, the same one that powers recently launched Realme 2.
It packs 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage, along with a dedicated microSD card slot that supports expandable storage up to 256GB. Similar to the Realme 1, the Realme C1 lacks the fingerprint sensor. However, it comes with AI Facial Unlock that detects face through 128 identification points and unlocks the device in just 0.3 seconds.
Coming to the camera department, the phone features a dual rear camera setup, comprising of a 13MP primary sensor and a 2MP secondary sensor for depth sensing. It has a Portrait Mode that enables capturing bokeh-like images. On the front side, there’s a 5MP snapper which supports AI Beautification mode for taking better selfies.
The phone’s connectivity options include Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS + GLONASS, and USB OTG. It is running ColorOS 5.1 based on Android 8.1 Oreo operating system and is backed by a 4,230mAh battery.
