HMD Global, the company behind the resurrected Nokia smartphone brand, has started sending out media invites for an event on October 4th in London, where the company will unveil its new smartphone.

While the invite does not reveal which smartphone the company is planning to launch at the London event, we are assuming that the device in question is the Nokia 7.1 Plus which has been making rounds since past couple of weeks.

The Nokia 7.1 Plus is expected to bring a larger notched display and come powered by Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 710 chipset. The company is also working on a flagship smartphone named Nokia 9 featuring five cameras on the back, but the phone is highly likely to make its debut next month.

To know for sure what’s up the company’s sleeve, we’ll have to wait for the official launch event to take on October 4th in London, UK.

October seems to be a busy month for Android smartphones as along with HMD Global, other manufacturers, including LG, Google, OnePlus, Huawei and Samsung have scheduled a launch event in October to unveil their new smartphones.
