Twitter’s Apple TV iteration is receiving a pretty important update. Support for Periscope’s global map, live and 360-degree videos now form part of Twitter’s Apple TV offering which was introduced last year. This also marks the first Apple TV application that supports live 360-degree videos.

So in case you have an Apple TV around your place, you will be able to move the video around and view its content from different angles. How do you do this? Well, simply use the Siri remote.

By now, Twitter’s application is available on a fair variety of platforms. From Fire TV, Xbox One and Roku,  all of these platforms feature live content sourced straight from Twitter. Some of it is user generated but the vast majority, comes from Twitter’s content deals with different providers. including the likes of BuzzFeed, Viacom, Live Nation, Bloomberg and so on.

It is up to you really. If curated content is your thing, you can call up content from one of the company’s various deals. However, you can also choose to browse through the millions hours of live video that is generated by users every month. You can also deploy tools like the Periscope producer and take the help of smartphone cameras to stream live content in 360-degree.

If you want to make things even more interesting, you can check out the Periscope map — which is also available on Apple TV — and find all sort of content from users around the world. The content you can find this way includes live videos, 360-degree content and so on.

Announcing the same, Twiter said:

Apple TV devices are receiving these new features through the Twitter app update. And in case you are very lucky, you could also be one of the few who are able to see an option to connect your Twitter account to Apple TV. However, it does not appear as if Twitter is rolling out this particular service for every user quite yet.
