Oppo seems to be on a launching spree. While it recently launched R9s and R9s Plus, the company is now all set to launch R11 and R11 Plus, given that they have now passed the TENNA certification.
The Oppo R11 and R11 Plus are said to feature Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 660 processor. Both phones will feature the same dual-camera setup, with a 16 MP and 20 MP tandem that delivers 2x optical zoom with help from the image signal processor in the Snapdragon 660.
At the front, you won’t be getting the dual-camera setup, but a pretty good 20 MP sensor to deliver solid selfies. The R11 and R11 Plus will also feature a fingerprint sensor below the display, with Android 7.1 Nougat covered by Oppo’s Color OS the star of the show.
The major difference between both the devices will be the display. The R11 features a 5.5-inch, 1080p AMOLED display, whereas the R11 Plus’s display bumps to 6 inches.
Under the hood, the R11 packs 4 GB of RAM, while the R11 Plus will have a 6 GB of RAM. While the R11’s 2,900mAh battery is nothing to talk about, the R11 Plus has a better 3,880mAh battery pack.
There is no certain information about the phone’s launch date or pricing, however, we expect them to launch soon. It will be interesting to see how the company positions this smartphone and for which region. While India is one of the biggest markets, the company is also hoping to establish its presence in the west — something which its competitors like Huawei and OnePlus have already done.
