Motorola came up with an interesting plan in 2016 regarding the replacement of its popular Moto X franchise with a new Moto Z brand. But the whispers of the return of Moto X has always been in the air, and now it appears that the X will return to the market sometime soon in 2017. The information available about this phone was pretty scarce until now, however, we have come across some new details regarding the same, today.
A new video has recently been leaked which provides an overview to a briefing by Lenovo, where the company is seen presenting the new phone on-screen. From what we see in the video, it appears that the mobile will come with the previously leaked metal design, followed by a glossy finish and dual cameras on the rear end. As per the leaks, the phone also packs IP68 dust and water resistance technology along with a front-facing fingerprint sensor.
Apart from the video, the leak provides us with some other information as well, which was actually translated to English by a Reddit user. The leak reveals that the Moto X 2017 will come with a 5.5-inch display along with “3-D Glass” accompanied with an impressive 4GB RAM and 64 GB of storage. However, the battery life of this cellphone is the real icing on the cake.
The enormous 3800 mAh battery life, which is to be paired with the recently announced Snapdragon 660 processor, could prove great in providing an excellent balance between battery life and performance, much like the Moto Z Play cellphone which was launched last year. Fascinating, isn’t it.
However, it is still fairly unclear as to when exactly is Motorola planning to release this handse, but as far the leaked video hints, there is a high probability that the company may launch the cell sometime soon, perhaps even in 2017.
