After debuting Moto G5 Plus at Mobile World Congress 2017 in Barcelona, Motorola has now made the device official for the Indian market. Lenovo-owned Motorola has launched Moto G5 Plus, exclusively on Flipkart, for a starting price of ₹14,999.

The Moto G5 Plus features a 5.2-inch full HD display with screen resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. It is powered by Snapdragon 625 processor, and the phone is claimed to be 30 percent faster than its predecessor. It comes in two variants – 3GB RAM and 4GB RAM, with 16GB and 32GB internal storage, respectively.

The phone sports a 12-megapixel rear camera with Dual Autofocus Pixels and f/1.7 aperture. Up front, the device houses a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. On the software front, it runs on Android 7.0 Nougat OS. However, to get the Google Assistant, you will have to update the Google app on the device.

It is powered by a 3,000mAh removable battery, which also has support for Motorola’s TurboPower fast charging technology. For added protection, there is also a fingerprint sensor on the device.

The lower variant of this phone, dubbed as Moto G5 was also launched at MWC this year. However, the company has not launched the device in the Indian market, yet. Like last year’s devices, this lower variant could be officially released in the coming weeks. The Moto G5 features a smaller 5-inch full HD display and runs onSnapdragon 430 processor. It also has memory options — 2/3/4 GB of RAM, and 16GB/32GB storage. It sports a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front facing camera. This one also runs on Android 7.0 Nougat and is powered by a 2,800mAh removable battery.

The Moto G5 Plus smartphone will be available in two colour options — Lunar Grey and Fine Gold. The 3GB RAM variant is priced at ₹14,999 while the 4GB RAM model is priced at ₹16,999. The phone will be sold exclusively on Flipkart, starting at 11:59 p.m. As a part of its launch offer, Motorola is offering incentives, including a 10% discount for SBI card holders.

Flipkart has also announced a BuyBack Guarantee for the smartphone. As a part of this, customers will be assured of a fixed exchange discount of Rs. 7,000 for their Moto G5 Plus for up to 8 months after purchase.
