apple iOS 10 beta, iOS, Apple

Close to two weeks after seeding the iOS developer community with the first beta of iOS 10.3, Apple has now seeded devs with the second beta of the same.

Just like the usual drill has been, if you’re a registered iOS developer and have an Apple developer account, can download iOS 10.3 beta 2 from the Apple Developer Center or over-the-air with the proper configuration profile installed. Xcode 8.3 beta 2 is also available with Swift 3.

The latest beta comes after Apple had released a significant first beta for iOS 10.3 to developers, which out of all the significant improvements it brought, also brought along the much requested “Find My Airpods” system into play.

With “Find my Airpods”, you can use the “Find My iPhone” application on the iPhone and play a loud alarm sound from the AirPods. The sound isn’t coming from a full fledged speaker, so I cant promise you that you will hear it — if its inside your cat’s stomach for example (pun intended !)— however, it is still loud enough for you to hear it most of the times.

Apart from the second beta roll out for iOS 10.3 and Xcode 8.3 beta 2, Apple has also rolled out watchOS 3.2 beta 2 (build 14V52114d) and tvOS 10.2 beta 2 (build 14W5231d). Interestingly, the Cupertino-giant hasn’t come up with a new beta for the latest build of macOS 10.12.4. You can expect that later this week.

For any significant improvements that might come up in this beta, we’ll keep you updated via this post. Bookmark it !
