Motorola took the budget smartphone segment by storm when it debuted its G-series smartphone. Now, the company is all set to launch the fifth-generation smartphone in the same series – Moto G5 Plus. Droid-Life has posted the phone’s specs and photos, that’ve now been leaked online.
According to the leak, the Moto G5 Plus will come under the model number XT1685. The device is expected to come with a 5.5-inch Full HD display with screen resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. Under the hood, it is said to be powered by a Snapdragon 625 paired with 4GB of RAM. The phone is expected to offer 32GB of internal memory. There are high chances that we will also see a 64GB storage version of the device as well. No information about the existence of a microSD card is currently available.
Further, the smartphone comes with several other features including the fingerprint sensor. On the imaging front, there is a 13 MP primary sensor and a 5 MP secondary sensor. It is powered by a 3080mAh battery pack and runs on Android 7.0 Nougat operating system.
While the design seems quite similar to the Moto X device, the leaked specifications clearly suggest that it’s a Moto G-series smartphone. Also while the leaked images do not exclusively show off a USB-Typ C port, the final product might incorporate the Type-C.
Given that the Moto G4 and G4 Plus were unveiled in March last year, it is very likely that Motorola will stick to their schedule for the launch of the new Moto G5 Plus. The leak looks almost same to the previous leak of the Moto C/X 2017. So, we’d advise you to take this information about the Moto G5 Plus with a pinch of salt.
Stay tuned for more updates on the official release of the Moto G5 Plus in the coming weeks.
