Apple started sending out invites for its March 21 event on Thursday. The event has been heavily rumoured for several weeks now and there has been a lot of speculation about what the Cupertino giant will unveil at this program.
First things first, the new, smaller iPhone. There have been multiple rumours about a new iPhone coming from the tech firm. It has been called by some as an upgraded version of the iPhone 5 and by some as the downgraded version of the iPhone 6. The smartphone is said to have a 4-inch display and an A9 chipset under the hood with other goodies.
It was first rumoured to be a ‘C’ variant from Apple. This was overthrown by the new name the iPhone 5se and latest rumour christen the phone as just the iPhone SE (Special Edition). Whatever the device is called, there has been a lot of speculation regarding its release.
Now, let’s talk about the iPad Air. Apple had skipped the 9.7-inch tablet last year, giving us only an iPad Mini and an iPad Pro. Seems now as if the Air will be out in the open after the March 21 event. The new tablet will apparently support the Apple Pencil and will come with a built-in port for a keyboard cover.
Other rumours say that Apple will have something in the Watch sector for us, too. Though, most believe that the company may not unveil a new iteration of the smartwatch, we can surely expect a new range of bands, other cosmetic upgrades and even partnerships with fashion companies.
The company, as is its custom, has rolled out the invites with a one-line riddle that has something to do with the program. This time it is ‘Let us loop you in’ which most analysts believe says something about the Watch.
