After making headlines with a direct funding announcement-cum-launch of his new, e-governance startup ‘Intelligent interfaces’, ex-Housing CEO Rahul Yadav has now received fresh backing from Yuvraj Singh for the same. Singh made this announcement on his Facebook page.
Apart from the fact that he is backing Yadav’s e-gov startup, Singh hasn’t revealed much about the financials involved in this deal.
Previously, Flipkart founders Sachin and Binny Bansal had invested in an angel round into Yadav’s startup. While no information was revealed related to the financing of that round, the startup is aimed at bringing efficiency in various processes involved within the Indian government. Rahul Yadav said:
The startup will be an interface that will be used by government officials. I see very large businesses that can be created in partnerships with government.
The new round is interesting though. In his previous round, Yadav had mentioned of not taking any more money from others, which had put all other related funding rumours at rest. Incoming capital is irresistible it seems.
In September some time, it was reported that Vijay Shekhar Sharma, CEO and co-founder of PayTM had invested an undisclosed amount in Rahul Yadav’s upcoming startup.
