At this time of imminent attention towards depleting energy sources, the need of the hour is to meet these challenges rationally. At ‘Umang’, an event hosted by Tata Power Delhi Distribution Limited (TPDDL) a new app made its entry into the market to offer educative solutions towards energy conservation.

Named as Sajag, the app was launched by the President of India, Pranab Mukherjee during the event held earlier today in the national capital.  TPDDL  believes that the app offers a smart and unique solution to meet the problems of energy conservation. The app is aimed at educating the masses about the ways to conserve energy.

Sajag app will help users better understand the energy demands of their homes and help save energy accordingly. The app addresses the most common factor of energy inefficiency and allows people to calculate the energy requirement of their homes.

Users can even learn energy efficient solutions for their home through videos posted on the app. Through tips, users can save considerable energy and save up on the hefty bills, which will ultimately save energy for the future generations. The Sajag App is available on Google Play and could also be downloaded from TPDDL’s website – www.tatapower-ddl.com.

During the event, the President of India, Pranab Mukherjee addressed the issue of energy conservation and stated that “today the world is brainstorming on the Global Warming and all should help save the environment in their own capacity. India should focus more on Solar and Wind power for sustainable development.”

Also present during the event was Chief Minister of Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal, who informed the students to take up the issue of energy conservation and participate in initiatives that address this issue.

Talking about the applications of Sajag, Praveer Sinha, Chief Executive Officer and MD, TPDDL  said,

We all should make judicious usage of energy and be conscious towards environmental issues. Only clean and green energy is a guarantee for a sustainable development.

The launch of Sajag App is a step towards making people empowered to take informed decisions on energy consumption, conservation and adoption of renewable power in their day to day lives. I am sure, Sajag will create a movement of energy consciousness among people all over the country.
