Following the September 9 mega event, the sales of the iPhone 6s twins is poised to reach new heights. A record 10 million units of iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus are set to be out of the shelves by the end of their first week. Each year the iPhone has set new targets for its successors. The year before the launch of iPhone 6, the fifth series in the line sold a record 9 million units in its first week.
Major source for the insatiable demand for the new iPhones is coming from the world’s largest market for smartphones, China. The demand for the iPhones is so high that the waiting period for the models is atleast three to four weeks for the country.
“Customer response to iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus has been extremely positive and preorders this weekend were very strong around the world. We are on pace to beat last year’s 10 million unit first-weekend record when the new iPhones go on sale September 25.
“As many customers noticed, the online demand for iPhone 6s Plus has been exceptionally strong and exceeded our own forecasts for the preorder period. We are working to catch up as quickly as we can, and we will have iPhone 6s Plus as well as iPhone 6s units available at Apple retail stores when they open next Friday.”
The iPhones are set for a 25 September launch in in Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, New Zealand, Puerto Rico, Singapore, the U.K. and the U.S, while pre-booking has been already been made available three days after Apple unveiled the phones.
The USP of the devices is a new 3D Touch designed by Apple that will allow users to interact with the devices like never before. The twins also feature a dexterity to accommodate image files that resemble GIF format. The animated image feature has been aptly live photos by Apple. Apart from this, Apple has also introduved rose gold into the skin of devices.
