Sequoia-backed HomeLane.com, the online provider of modular kitchen and home furnishing solutions, has launched a new , Google Cardboard-Based virtual reality device called Kaliedo, letting you have an immersive experience of your next dream furniture setup.

Quite rightly the next big innovation in furniture e-retail, Kaliedo lets you experience and envision different setups for kitchen, bedrooms and living rooms in real-time. As is the case with Virtual reality, you will able to witness the entire furniture setup live, and in real-time.

Consumers always gets confused as it is obviously very difficult to predict how a certain setup would look like. You may like a setup in the showroom but sometimes it does not go well with your room’s decor. Kaleido is aimed at helping you out on that front.

It allows users to see various furnishing options in real time with a rich immersive experience. You will be able to see a three dimensional rendition of the kitchen you are going to buy and also be able to change and choose colors, finishes, appliances like hobs and chimneys, details like the style of the cabinet handles, the countertop, the flooring and the backsplash without paying a single penny.

Once you choose a design with the Kaleido, HomeLane.com promises a transparent and flawless manufacturing and installation process guaranteed in six weeks from order date with a 5-year warranty.

Talking about Kaleido, Srikanth Iyer, HomeLane.com’s Co-founder and CEO tells me,

We are using technology to completely revolutionize how people furnish their dream homes and the launch of HomeLane.com Kaleido is a major milestone in this direction.

We expect Kaleido to be a game changer in the home furnishing industry and make it dramatically convenient for a new home owner to decide on the perfect design, color and look for their dream home.

Kaleido is a virtual reality-based device that uses Google Cardboard to provide you with an immersive experience. By using Kaliedo along with other tools, the company is trying to bring the emporium to the buyer’s doorstep and is trying to bridge the gap between imagination and reality.

Founded in 2014  by Rama Harinath and Srikanth Iyer, HomeLane is a popular provider of end to end, vertically integrated interior design and manufacturing. It is currently present in five major cities of India, including Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Pune and Kochi. Till now, the company has raised $55.4 Million in 2 funding round from Aarin Capital and Sequoia Capital.
