ZapStitch, a Bangalore based cloud data integration platform has raised $2 million in pre-Series A round of funding led by Helion Venture Partners with participation of existing investor Orios Venture Partners.

The freshly raised funds will be used for product development, strengthening and growing the team, and marketing initiatives. As a part of the deal, Alok Goyal, partner at Helion Venture Partners and Rehan Yar Khan, General Partner at Orios Venture Partners, will join the board of the company

Last year, ZapStitch raised an undisclosed amount of funding in seed round from Anupam Mittal, along with the participation of other angel investors.

ZapStitch was founded a year ago in December 2013 by Satya Padmanabham and Ravi Madabhushi. It enables small businesses automate their data flow across cloud business solutions. Currently, the company offers integrations like Shopify to QuickBooks, BigCommerce to QuickBooks, Shopify to Xero and BigCommerce to Xero.

It resolves this problem by integrating data taken from various sources like ecommerce, CRM, accounting and from other cloud based apps. By integrating SaaS apps, the company enables higher levels of automation, increase sales & operations efficiency, reduces manual efforts, and improves response time to customers.

The company claims to have over 400 clients, 90% of whom are based in the US and Canada. It will be setting up a US team this coming year to further increase their sales and marketing efforts.

It currently has customers from countries like USA, Canada, UK, Australia, etc. Soon, the company will be integrating more apps across business verticals like CRM, Marketing and Email Marketing.

Satya Padmanabham, co-founder, ZapStitch, commented in a statement:

Today, an average enterprise uses five to eight cloud based business apps for various functions like e-commerce, accounting, CRM, email marketing, helpdesk and others. The data in each of these apps is highly fragmented, difficult and time consuming to manage. Business teams want to continuously sync and transfer data between these apps. But, getting these apps to talk to each other is a serious pain point.

ZapStitch solves these problems by providing simple and easy to use plug and play integration solutions. We are thrilled to have Helion and Orios on board; their track record in backing some of the best technology companies coming out of India and their significant knowhow of the technology product segment will help us scale and accelerate growth.

Rehan Yar Khan, General Partner, Orios Venture Partners, said,

This is an incredibly large need with more and more business apps moving to the cloud; Satya and his team have built a simple way to address this problem on a daily basis and we are already seeing small and large enterprises adopt the product rapidly.
