This is rather surprising. Certain BSNL subscribers are reporting that they are unable to access Flipkart due to unknown reasons. Flipkart has acknowledged the issue and says it is working towards resolving it.
There’s an issue preventing BSNL users from accessing our site, sorry about this. We're in touch with BSNL to rectify this at the earliest.
— Flipkart (@Flipkart) January 10, 2015
The problem has currently only been identified with BSNL subscribers. All other Internet providers are reporting the website to be functioning normally.
Indian internet providers have recently been seen involved in banning various websites with no specific reasons. While the Flipkart issue may be more of a technical snug rather than a ban, this has again highlighted India’s low-placed infrastructure when it comes to internet.
There’s no further news on the issue. However we’ll keep you updated with further information.
