Marketing automation was a $15.6 billion industry last year, and estimates pin it at $25.1 billion by 2023. The average marketer, according to HubSpot research, uses a dozen or so apps for their marketing automation and advertising purposes, with more options becoming available every day.

No doubt there is benefit in a good tech stack, yet for entrepreneurs running their own online information businesses, all those apps can definitely make it hard to focus on their core value – creating value-rich content to sell.

It’s increasingly complicated, costly and time consuming for small business owners to choose from the more than 7,000 martech apps (there are 45+ just for email automation alone), and integrate them into a functioning stack.

The team at all-in-one business platform Kajabi believes that has to change, and to help catalyse that change, the company has completely revamped its email marketing module, releasing the new tool to its user community last week at no additional cost.

We are passionate about helping serious entrepreneurs achieve serious results,” says Kajabi CEO and co-founder Kenny Rueter. “A big way to do that is by simplifying the marketing tech stack for online business owners, without sacrificing anything in the way of customization and functionality. Our email launch is the perfect next step.”

Ascend2’s recent MarTech Stack Optimization report confirms that Kajabi’s objectives with this rollout should resonate with the objectives of end users who feel the need for toolboxes that are more usable, better integrated and more customizable.

Kajabi Email takes all the robust functionality of Mailchimp, Drip, Keap, AWeber or similar email solutions and integrates it seamlessly into the user’s existing Kajabi dashboard, so it’s fully connected with information product merchants’ product line, landing pages and owned media assets. It also has the added advantage of allowing users to fully customize their emails to their brand standards, without coding or other technical challenges, and it keeps costs in check as businesses grow.

New features in the upgraded Kajabi Email include:

  • Dozens of pre-built templates, with full customization capabilities and embeddable video previews, browsable by use case.
  • On-the-fly email subject line validation to reduce the chance of spam flags and improve deliverability and open rates.
  • Integrated review and approval features, including a “view email as web page” function.
  • A redesigned metrics dashboard to help users gain insights on campaign performance and analyse data for better results.
  • Countdown timers, with no coding required, linked to specified promotional events.

The email launch comes on the heels of two other important upgrades to the Kajabi business platform, both of which eliminate the need for even more martech apps.

The Kajabi Mobile App allows business owners to create better customer engagement with ease, using push notifications and native app functionality to deliver digital content experiences. And just a few weeks ago, the company also revamped its landing page builder, now called Kajabi Pages, to incorporate more complex design elements with a simplified interface.

The idea of a turnkey all-in-one business solution that does away with complicated, disparate solutions for email, site building, ecommerce, mobile apps and marketing functions is perfect for a marketplace crowded with apps, but lacking comprehensive yet easy solutions. This is exactly what the new generation of digital product sellers needs to operate.

“Online learning has become a $220 billion global market, with many people turning to the Internet to meet both their professional and casual learning needs,” notes this press release from Spectrum Equity, which recently announced a minority growth investment in Kajabi, in part to help facilitate rapid rollouts like we’ve seen of late.

As the release notes, many of today’s solopreneurs are capitalizing on the demand for online learning by making their unique expertise available online through Kajabi. The company’s all-in-one approach is on a solid path for growth, and Kajabi users have already generated more than $1 billion in sales delivering rich educational media experiences to over 41 million paying students.

The online information industry is highly competitive and demanding, and Kajabi is passionate about creating solutions that grant entrepreneurs and SMEs the ability to provide value by focusing on what they do best – creating and selling educational content without any requirements for technical skills. By integrating these solutions directly into the existing platform, Kajabi is eliminating the need for tricky third-party integrations and APIs, giving people more time to build content on a system that’s designed from the ground up to support sales.
