After launching the Honor V20 in China last month, Huawei’s sub-brand Honor has launched the Honor View 20 smartphone globally at a launch event in Paris, France. The phone is set to launch in India on 29th January and is available for pre-order through Honor Store and Amazon.in
As for the international pricing, the smartphone is priced at €569 for the 6GB RAM and 128GB storage variant while it is priced at €649 for the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage variant. It comes in four color options — Midnight Black, Sapphire Blue, Phantom Red, and Phantom Blue.
The highlight of the smartphone is its display. It comes with a 6.4-inch IPS LCD with Full HD+ resolution, 19.5:9 aspect ratio, and nearly bezel-less design. It features a punch-hole in the screen instead of a notch for housing the camera which creates less obstruction than a notch and looks better.
The device is powered by the flagship chipset from HiSilicon — the Kirin 980, which has four high-performance Cortex-A76 cores, four power-efficient Cortex-55 cores, and Mali-G76 MP10 GPU. The phone comes in two configurations — 6GB RAM + 128GB storage, and 8GB RAM + 256GB storage.
Coming to the camera, the phone has a dual-camera at the rear with one 48MP Sony IMX586 sensor and 3D TOF sensor. The company says that it is the first smartphone in the world to feature a 48MP camera sensor. The 3D TOF camera is used to map objects in 3D space, which helps in measuring distance and thus aids in portrait images. On the front side, it comes with a 25MP camera taking care of the selfie needs.
The smartphone runs on the latest Android 9 Pie operating system out-of-the-box along with the brands all-new Magic UI 2 customization. The device packs a 4000mAh battery with 22.5W fast charging technology support.
