Earlier today, OnePlus launched its flagship smartphone of the year — the OnePlus 5 in India, after debuting the smartphone on 20th June. And as promised, the smartphone will be up for sale in India from today onwards on Amazon India. So, exercise your fingers and get ready to hustle.

At a launch event in Mumbai, the company has announced that the OnePlus 5 will go on sale in India, exclusively via Amazon India, for the time being. Later on, it will also be available on OnePlus India’s official online store.

The OnePlus 5 smartphone comes in two variants — 6GB RAM and 8GB RAM. The 6GB RAM model is priced at ₹32,999 while the 8GB RAM version is priced at ₹37,999. It will be available in two color options — Midnight Black and Slate Gray.

However, it is not yet clear if the smartphone will also be available for offline sale. But, what is sure is that the phone will be at the ‘Experience Store’ in Bengaluru for users to get a closer look at the phone.

Along with this, OnePlus is holding pop-up events for OnePlus 5 at several cities across the country. These include New Delhi (Ambience Mall, Vasant Kunj, June 23); Bengaluru (OnePlus Experience Store, Brigade Road, June 24); Chennai (Trans Car India 355A, GST Road, Alandur, June 24); and Hyderabad (Indian Motorcycle, Aruna Arcade, Jubilee Hills, June 25).

The smartphone comes with a 5.5-inch full-HD (1080 x 1920 pixels) Optic AMOLED display. It is powered by Snapdragon 835 with 6GB/8GB RAM and 64GB/128GB storage.

It also has dual-rear camera setup at the back — 16MP and 20MP, along with a front facing 16MP camera. Running on Android 7.1 Nougat based Oxygen OS, the phone has 3,300mAh battery with Dash Charge support. For more information about the phone’s specs, check out this post.
