Microsoft’s smart assistant will now help you find the best prices for stuff you are hoping to purchase. The feature has been brought to Cortana, and will allow the assistant to alert you while you are browsing e-commerce websites looking for a particular good or item.
So here is how things will work: You want to purchase an article and are browsing the Internet for it. This is exactly when dear old Cortana will come into play. The virtual assistant will wake from its sleep and will quickly scour the Internet looking for the article you are trying to buy. And when it does find it, it will present you with a list of options.
The main idea here is to get you a better deal. So if Cortana discovers a better deal on some other website, it will alert you of the same as well. You can then click on the assistant to discover all the pertinent deals along with applicable coupons, if any.
The only weakness that the feature has, is that prices may not be the only feature you want to take into the consideration. After all, the quality of the item, as well as the company’s return policies will also need to be taken into consideration. At present, around 14 retailers are supported including Best Buy and Home Depot.
The feature is currently being rolled out to folks with the Windows 10 Creators update. You can expect it to reach you in a few weeks or so.
