Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk is done with president Trump’s advisory councils. He has now announced that he is leaving them. This decision follows an earlier Musk statement in which he had promised to leave Trrump’ advisory council if the US pulled out of the Paris accords.

Musk is a strong proponent of renewable energy and green technologies. As such this isn’t a surprise. And he stood by his decision to continue with the councils even in face of the immigration ban which saw him draw a lot of controversy. However this time, Musk believes that he will not be able to help the president see better and hence, the departure.
Similarly, Disney CEO Bob Iger has also chosen to leave the president’s council as well.
As a matter of principle, I’ve resigned from the President’s Council over the #ParisAgreement withdrawal.
