OnePlus, the geek-favorite smartphone brand, is soon coming up with the successor of its OnePlus 3T smartphone. The upcoming smartphone, which is dubbed as OnePlus 5 will be available in colours, voted by the users.

The company has recently posted on twitter, asking “What 5hould the colour of your next phone be?”. The “5” instead of “S” clearly states that OnePlus is talking about its upcoming smartphone.

The options offered by the company includes Black, Red, shade of Gold. There is also another choice, which seems to be completely ambiguous as it has a gradient but might be an indicator of something else entirely.

OnePlus 5 is supposed to launch this summer, which likely means in June or July. OnePlus CEO Pete Lau has promised that this phone will be a ‘big surprise.’

For this smartphone, the company is also expected to use the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor , along with possible 8GB RAM and 256GB version on the cards. The battery on the OnePlus 5 could be increased to 3600 mAh from the 3400 mAh one we saw on the earlier OnePlus 3T.

The other big change on the OnePlus 5 is expected to be the dual rear camera setup. However, the design and orientation of the dual camera setup at the back of the OnePlus 5 has been in question due to contradicting leaks.

It seems like we will have to wait for the smartphone’s official launch, expected in Summer, till we get any confirmation of its design, specifications, and now for the colour choices as well.

As per some reports, OnePlus could increase the price with the OnePlus 5 because of the higher cost of components. We’ll have to wait and see if the reports turns out to be true when the phone gets launched.
