E-commerce platform Lazada Singapore has announced that it has shifted all its warehouse operations to SingPost’s Regional eCommerce Logistics Hub situated in Tampines Logistics Park. This has been done so that both the companies, that have received investment from Chinese giant Alibaba, can leverage each other’s strength in order to meet the increasing e-commerce demand in Southeast Asia.

In an official statement, the companies believe the combination of strengths in e-commerce and logistics will allow both companies to be in a leading position in the industry to serve a wider spectrum of customers, both in Singapore and the region. Alexis Lanternier, CEO of Lazada Singapore, was quoted saying,

Moving Lazada Singapore’s entire warehouse operations to the SingPost Regional eCommerce Logistics Hub is the next natural step as we seek closer integration with our partners to better serve the needs of Singapore customers.

He also added that with the recent launch of 99SME, the local sellers have access to more than 3.5 million monthly visitors in Singapore. And, also that they want to assist them in expansion and regional sales.
