While Xiaomi has announced that it will be launching its latest flagship smartphone — Mi 6 on April 19, several reports suggest that the Chinese upstart could also launch the successor to Mi Max, dubbed as Mi Max 2 at the same event.
The Mi Max 2 device was recently leaked, revealing the phone’s specifications. It is expected to sport a large 6.44-inch full HD display. Under the hood, the phone is powered by 6GB of RAM, and a mammoth 5,000mAh battery.
The phone will be available in two variants. While the normal variant will have 4GB of RAM, the high-end variant of the device will have 6GB of RAM.
The rumour mill suggests that the phone will run Android 7.1.1 Nougat operating system out-of-the-box. As of optics, the smartphone has been tipped to feature a 12-megapixel rear camera with Sony IMX378 sensor and a 5-megapixel camera at the front.
While the Xiaomi Mi Max 2 was expected to be launched in May, latest rumors suggests that it will be launched on April 19, along with Mi 6 — the company’s latest flagship smartphone.
Some reports indicates that Mi Max 2 will be priced at 1,699 Yuan (or approx ₹15,905), while the standard version will be available for 1,499 Yuan (or approx ₹14,033).
Apart from Mi Max 2, there are also reports that the company is also all-set to launch Mi Note 3 soon. It could be powered by the latest Snapdragon 835 processor, coupled with 8GB RAM. It is said to sport a 5.7-inch display, 128GB or 256GB storage and a big 4,070mAh battery.
We’ll have to wait till 19th April to know for sure about the devices being launched.
