Gear up to get completely immersed in the world of virtual reality. If you may recall, somewhere round the Christmas of 2016, PlayStation VR, which is Sony’s virtual reality headset, proposed some kind of support for 360 YouTube content, which was observed to be a little patchy (as Engadget points out).

The resolutions could not live up to the to the full 360-degree experience, because of which the video quality was a little flawed. And also, the updates were also supposed to roll out only for some selected customers.

Learning from its mistakes, this week Sony has again released an update which provides us access to YouTube’s jumbo collection of 360-degree video to PlayStation VR. Interestingly,the catalog of such videos in only increasing with time, and with this update, their rate will get tremendously amplified. The impressive headsets along with this update has given us even more reasons to shoot and view videos in the 360 degree format.

The PlayStation’s blog reports;

The latest update – released today – adds support for YouTube’s rapidly expanding library of virtual reality videos, allowing PS4 and PS VR users to once again step beyond the screen and explore detailed 360° worlds as though they were standing right there.

For unknown reasons, most of the big brands of the tech world have remained distant from putting their hands in the 360 degree video technology, which is quite debatable considering its market potential. Infact, the 360 degree video tech is nothing less than a paradise for a gamer, sports lover, or news enthusiast. Probably, a little more breakthroughs of the field will compel them to work with it.

From now on, the big screen right in front of your eyes has taken a beautiful leap and gone 360 degrees. So feel free to explore the world of dinosaurs, or the thrills of a roller coaster or attending your budget session live.
