Leadburg, a workforce development startup, has today raised an undisclosed amount of funding in its seed round steered by enterprise tech veterans, Harsh V Pant and Ratheesh Raveendran of IvyCamp platform. The platform funds potential startups leveraging the Global Alumni Networks to enable alumnus to join and mentor budding entrepreneurs.
Leadburg was established by LSE and Harvard alumnus Sangeeth Verghese. Along with Sangeeth, Akshay Chandrasekhar is also included as the co-founder for leadership development and opportunity matching space. It offers mobile app-based leadership and self-discovery games in order to provide comprehensive understanding to career planners and seekers of their self.
Anju Gupta, Co-founder and President at IvyCamp, commented on the directed investment as,
Our success in aiding Leadburg raise a investment with savvy investors and Institutions reflects our dedication to helping innovative startups and dedicated teams achieve the support they need.
Our core is the passion, skills, experience, funding, and connection with the Global Alumni networks from the IITs, IIMs, ISB, BITS, and many other that we bring to our startups.
The platform currently holds over 300 colleges and claims to have a daily usage time of more than 15 mins per individual upon the app. The games and experiments for self-discovery have been provided by the app only since 2016. It is currently available as a free installation from the Google Play Store and is still to arrive on iOS/Windows.
The fund raise is also strategic in nature as enterprise software experts and IIT alumnus Harsh P. and Ratheesh R are expected to assist the company with defining the market, figuring out opportunities and sharpening the technology decisions. Moreover, Harsh Pant also holds a certain Organization Management concept relative to Human Engineering, which will enhance the technology for Leadburg without much of human assistance.
Sangeeth Verghese further added on the investment as,
We are excited to have Harsh and Ratheesh on board with us as investors. The value-add they bring to the table, beyond just finances, is their strategic thought process, which we believe would take us to the next level much faster and surer. IvyCamp has also played a key role by guiding early stage startups like us right from mentoring stage to the fund-raising process.
IvyCamp previously invested in a food delivery startup Mr. Hot Foods led by an angel investor Pawan Kumar. Further, IvyCamp which is an initiative of IvyCap Ventures is also engaged in raising its second fund of Rs 600 crores. Other major investments include in startups like FT cash, Grabon rent, Idea Bubbles etc.
