IIM Tiruchirappalli is hosting its inaugural edition of E-Summit on 13 November. E-Summit is a platform to demystify the start-up ecosystem and encourage more innovation and entrepreneurship.
The summit will see various events being conducted during the day. The keynote speaker and Chief Guest is Mr. Sushant Nayak. He is a serial entrepreneur and has founded four start-ups in India, UK, and the USA. He is also on the advisory board of many organizations.
The Guest of Honor is Mr. Shajan Ninan, CEO, and Co-Founder of Kaizen Tutors. He currently offers seminars and workshops in areas related to finance and entrepreneurship. The theme for the panel discussion for the event is “Designing winning business models”. The invited panelists are eminent personalities in the start-up space.
Ms. Aruna AP is a successful management consultant and helps incubate business ventures. She is also currently the Programme Manager for XLr8AP, an initiative to foster innovation as a technology based accelerator in Andhra Pradesh. The second panelist is Mr. Gaurav Agrawal, the Co-Founder, and CEO of PickMyLaundry, which broke even operationally in 8 months. The next panelist is Dr. Arumugam Muruganandam, Founder and Managing Director & Chief Scientific Officer of Affigenix.com, which delivers novel biologics solutions for food, agriculture, and life Science industries. Mr. Shajan Ninan will be the fourth panelist.
The E-Summit will also feature a B-Plan competition, where students would have to explain their startup ideas to a judging panel of VCs and Incubators to establish their stand as the best in terms of innovation, feasibility, and scalability. This will be followed by a start-up pitch event, where startups will pitch their business models to the panel with am aim to gather incubation support and more.
The E- Summit exposes the students to various ideas and inspirational stories. The global trends in entrepreneurship, the challenges of Indian start-ups to match the pace of global forces, and the road map for the startup ecosystem will be discussed and debated upon.
