When Samsung first announced the Galaxy Note 7 in ‘Coral Blue’ colour, many were attracted to this new hue from the company. Now, post the unfortunate demise of the Galaxy Note 7, Samsung has started rolling out a new Coral Blue coloured version of the Galaxy S7 Edge as a consolation.
Samsung has stated that the Blue Coral Galaxy S7 edge will be available in select markets around the globe, starting November 1st. The specific availability details will be announced by wireless providers and regional Samsung offices.
The new Blue Coral edition is said to be following this year’s colour trend from the Korean giant, which are less vivid and more tranquil. Claimed to be inspired by nature, the color shimmers as if it is illuminated from the inside of the phone’s glass surface.
In addition, Samsung has also applied a contrasting gold tone hue to the phone’s metallic frame. Thus, it results in an alluring two-tone combination. Along with Blue Coral, the Galaxy S7 edge is already available in Black Onyx, Gold Platinum, White Pearl, Silver Titanium and Pink Gold colours.
Though the Galaxy Note 7 might have met its maker but there were certain features that made it stand apart from its competitors and predecessors. Since the company is now focusing on Galaxy S7 Edge, it is bringing these features of the Galaxy Note 7 to the curved smartphone. It has also promised to offer $100 credit to customers exchanging their Note 7’s for any other Samsung device.
The Korean giant has also started porting Note 7’s software features in its older smartphones. Earlier, the users of S7 Edge reported that they are getting an update with the always-on display feature, along with few other features. However, it’s not a wholesale port of the discontinued phone’s software and some users are reporting broken features in the initial release.
