Formula One superstar Lewis Hamilton joins current UFC champion Conor Mcgregor and Game of Thrones star, Kit Harrington(Jon Snow) as a character in Infinity Ward’s star studded Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare.

The Team Mercedes driver revealed this surprising piece of news through his Twitter, along with an attached image which shows his in-game persona. Still in a red cap though!

As shown in the tweet above, we have the racer all decked up in military uniform set to take on Jon Snow’s inter-planetary forces(assuming he’s on the good side). And he sure seems excited as hell to be a part of the Call of Duty Universe.

I grew up with Super Mario, where the graphics were outdated at the time. It’s crazy to see how far it [computer games] have come – the realisation is unbelievable. I loved it. It was a great experience, I am incredibly honoured to be part of this game. I’ve been a fan for years,

stated Hamilton during an interview.

Just last month, it was revealed that current UFC champion Conor McGregor would star in the game alongside Kit Harrington, who plays Jon Snow on HBO’s hit series Game of Thrones. He plays Infinite Warfare’s antagonist, Admiral Salen Koch.

In all honesty, it’s starting to seem like Call of Duty is covering up for a lack of innovative new ideas with the shiny distractions of massively loved figures. That may just be my skepticism speaking but my hopes for the game are still alive.

Infinite Warfare will release on November 4th for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Infinite Warfare’s very first beta weekend had to be extended by a day after it kicked off to a rough start, wrapping up today instead of yesterday when it was originally supposed to. The second beta will kick off on October 21 at 10 AM PT sharp and will continue up till October 24 at the same time. Anyone who owns a PlayStation 4 will have access to the upcoming second beta.
