Apple’s iPhone 7 is playing hard to get! The Cupertino giant issued a statement today which says that the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus inventory is going to be super limited. Furthermore, the iPhone 7 jet black and all iPhone 7 Plus units have completely sold out.

This essentially means that if you want to get yourself a new iPhone, you will have to rely on an online reservation. You won’t be able to just barge into an Apple Store and get your hands on the latest Apple flagship.

The jet black variants are even rarer. All you can do is book a device online and wait for it to arrive. It might even take weeks to reach you.

Apple’s statement regarding the short supply of iPhones is quoted below:

We couldn’t be happier with the initial response to iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, and we are looking forward to beginning sales through our retail stores and partners around the world.
Beginning Friday, limited quantities of iPhone 7 in silver, gold, rose gold, and black will be available for walk-in customers at Apple retail stores. During the online pre-order period, initial quantities of iPhone 7 Plus in all finishes and iPhone 7 in jet black sold out and will not be available for walk-in customers. Availability at partner locations for all finishes may vary and we recommend checking directly with them.

Apple however says, that customers can continue to order all models in all colors on apple.com. We will get you more info on this. Stay tuned.
